Raids and Confiscations
As of this writing the Kosovo police have confiscated Serbian dinars meant to pay for pensions, benefits and salaries for people in the Peja/Peć region. They have also raided a Serbian health center in Prishtina. They have also raided Radio Gorazdevac a well known Serbian station in the Peja/Peć region.
The majority of Kosovo Serbs live in the south of Kosovo and tend to be poorer than those living in the north.
The US issued a strongly worded statement as did the European Union. At the International Memorial Day of the Holocaust on Wednesday prime minister Kurti not only arrived very late but did not appear to speak to any other dignitary including the President or any Ambassador.
In Mitrovica last night KFOR APCs were on heavy patrol and low flying helis were buzzing overhead.
